If you are looking for a charger for your electric car battery with a 5-metre Type 2 cable, first check how you park and where your vehicle's charging port is located. The straight-line distance between the wall and the car does not always match the route the cable will have to take.
How to check the reach in your parking space
Park in your usual position. Using a tape measure, follow the planned route from the chosen location for the charger to the vehicle's charging port. Take into account the space around the car, any obstacles, and the margin needed to connect without pulling on the cable. Repeat the measurement if you alternate between parking facing forward and reversing in, or if you use two different vehicles.
Fixed cable and socket without cable: what changes when using them
With a fixed cable, the connector is available at the charging point and you do not have to take out your cable for each session. A socket unit requires connecting a separate compatible cable. This difference affects your routine and storage space: it is worth deciding where you will store the connector when you finish.
The two models we sell at Charge Factory are five-metre fixed cable versions. We do not offer a selection of lengths within those product pages. If your measurement is too tight, consult us before buying and ask the installer to assess another location.
Type 2 does not determine power on its own
Check the connector and the AC charging limit in your car's documentation. The actual power also depends on the installation and its configuration. Choosing a charger with a higher nominal power does not guarantee that the vehicle will charge faster.

What to ask before placing the order
Provide the professional with the measurement of the route, the position of the charging port, and photographs of the parking space. Ask them to confirm the location and the compatibility of the installation. Do not modify or extend the cable yourself: follow the manufacturer's instructions. The price of our products corresponds to the charger; the installation and additional accessories are not included.
